Solaris International #399

Welcome to Episode #399. Well last weekend was pretty crazy, first a packed Pure Trance room at #DS7 in Leeds, then a rave in a cave at a Waterpark in Helsinki! Good times all round, so I'm happy. I hope you enjoy this week's show, which includes a brilliant team-up between Future Disciple & Angry Man on Flouro, and also a brilliant slab of uplifting vocal trance from Jorn van Deynhoven. My remix for iKo's glorious 'Heart of Stone' gets another spin this week too - that one is out on Monday on my Pure Trance label by the way. Also a nice surprise this week is the welcome return of the other half of Agnelli & Nelson - Chris Agnelli - with a wicked piece of trance called 'Vanishing Point' - good to see you back Chris! BTW we have some venue change news re our Miami Club Event - check the Pure Trance fanpage for more info. Catch you next week for Episode #400 where I shall have a balloon in the studio. Rich Ss.

Solarstone lanza Pure Trance Recordings

Solarstone a.k.a. "follow the links to the shop"; Solaris International.

Solaris International #387

Welcome to Episode #387 coming to you all the way from Sydney, Australia where I am currently on the Stereosonic tour, and my friend & colledgue Giuseppe Ottaviani joins me for the show. A bit of a Solarstone special with not one but two new Ss singles, the first is Protoculture's remix of 'Solarcoaster, which is forthcoming on Captivating Sounds and also my Pure Mix of 'Lovers which features the gorgeous vocals of Roger D. Smith from Lemon (remember 'We Can't Fly'?) which is my Big Tune - forthcoming on Black Hole. We are heading to Melbourne on Thursday where I shall be playing on Saturday, then a swift hop to Adelaide that evening, then Brisbane on Sunday. Next week's show will come from Singapore by the way, I shall look forward to your company. Rich Ss.

Solaris International #386

Welcome to Episode #386! At the time of writing, having just wrapped the show I am about to start packing and head off to Australia for the Stereosnic 2013 tour - really looking forward to it this year, on previous visits to Australia I've been travelling alone but this time I have Giuseppe Ottaviani for company, so I shall not be short of a conversation about Pizza and pasta making that's for sure. Also on this trip I'll be visiting Singapore and Manila - full details on my the Dj page of my website solarstone.co.uk. I've got an extended Uplifing Selection for you this week as there is so much good melodic trance about - always makes me happy to say those words! But my Big Tune simply had to be this cut from the Pure Trance 2 album - rarely does an acapella work so well over an unreleated track - I think the Jump The Next Train / Emerge mashup is better than either original - and that's saying something! Well, no time to delay, I need to go get ready for Aus. See you next week Rich Ss

Solaris International Episode #385

Welcome to Episode #385! Well I feel particularly relaxed at the time of writing this, having had a very rare weekend off! Another one next weekend and then it's off to Australia for Stereosonic and full on madness for 10 days... gulp! Anyway, to the music, and this week's show has gone gems lined up, particularly my Big Tune - it's a glorious remix of Adam Nickey's classic 'Perfect Destiny' from Allende - the new one on Touchstone Recordings no less, it was a toss up between this and the Winkee Remix which I have hammering for months - both are fabulous. Something else out this week is my Pure Mix of Armin's 'Forever Is Ours' - on his 'More Intense' remix album, so I've given that another spin on the show for you. You simply have to hear this week's chillout moment - a gorgeous downtempo re-think from Giuseppe himself of 'Brilliant People' - I think it's a world exclusive but don't quote me on that. See you next week? Rich Ss.

Solaris International #384

Welcome to Episode #384! I must send a shout out to everybody who came to our fantastic PureTrance event at Rong in Manchester last Friday - it was truly magnificent! If you couldn't make it and would like to watch / hear the full event, Be-At.TV filmed and broadcasted the whole thing - it's on their website. I also must mentioned that the brand new Solarstone APP is now available, courtesy of App Machine, you can listen to the show via the APP and it also contains pretty much everything Solarstone related that you need to know! Highlights of this week's show for me are Sneijder's brilliant update of the classic 'Carte Blanche' by Verracocha, and also the wicked new Federation single (my side-project with Ben Lost) called New Religion - that one is my Big Tune this week. This week's Chillout Moment is dedicated to the victims of the Typhoo in the Phillipines, both the Red Cross & Save The Children are taking donations via their respective websites. See you next week, Rich Ss
